TH€€€F (pronounced: /θiːf/ – like ‘thief’) is a sound art project founded by Niko Skorpio. Focusing on live sampling of random radio broadcasts and recorded music, TH€€€F disregards notions of order and convention and enables something new to emerge from the debris. What may appear as annoying noise or nonsense to a culturally conditioned mind may unfold as vast non-euclidian constructions or sentient sonic entities to one liberated from such constraints. As such, TH€€€F suggests a new kind of psychoactive music aimed for deep listening and self-exploration, or sonic wallpaper for regular office hours, depending of prevalent circumstances.
Signal to noise ratio may vary.
